This was my first painting series made for an exhibition in Guadalajara, Jalisco, when I was still a student.

In it I sought to show both my learning at the School of Fine Arts, as well as my vital and artistic concerns, which at the age of 23 were already manifested.

The style that attracted me at that time was, in addition to the male nude, surreal images or those that represented dreams, desires, imaginations or fantasies.

For these paintings I posed myself as a model, in a series of photographs that served as the basis for later works.

The entire series is not shown here, but I hope you have an idea of ​​my beginnings in oil painting.

Está fué mi primera serie pictórica realizada para una exposición en Guadalajara, Jalisco, cuando aún era estudiante.

En ella buscaba mostrar tanto mi aprendizaje en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas, como también mis inquietudes vitales y artísticas, las que a la edad de 23 años ya se manifestaban.

El estilo que en ese entonces me atraía era, además del desnudo masculino, las imágenes surrealistas o aquellas que representaban sueños, deseos, imaginaciones o fantasías.

Para estas pinturas posé yo mismo como modelo, en una serie de fotografías que sirvieron de base para los trabajos posteriores.

No se muestra aquí toda la serie, pero espero que tengáis una idea de mis inicios en la pintura al óleo.
